Hi! Welcome to the Canadian Women's Brass Collective.
We are a group of professional musicians who have joined forces to explore and celebrate our mutual love and commitment to the world of brass. We are performers, educators, researchers, and conductors. We are soloists, members of symphony orchestras, chamber music performers, military band members, new music enthusiasts, and early music performers. We wish to welcome people in our community who identify as female, genderqueer, and/or gender non-conforming.
Our aim is to raise awareness of gender diversity, to foster positive attitudes, and to provide inspiration and role models for the next generation of Canadian brass players as they advance in their journey through music.
We acknowledge the support of the Canada Council for the Arts
